Founded in 1978 as a small foundry in Konya, AKIŞOĞLU has grown into one of the leading companies in its sector. Today, the company operates four factories located in Konya 3rd and 4th Organized Industrial Zones, with a total area of 106,000 m² of open space and 40,000 m² of enclosed space. The company manufactures elevator machines and motors with motor powers ranging from 2 hp to 50 hp, heavy-duty vehicle brake components, elevator cables, and cast products for various industries.
Over the past four years, our company has made significant investments in infrastructure and undertaken major development initiatives with the aim of becoming one of Turkey’s largest-scale casting manufacturers. As a result, it has rapidly expanded and become an important player in the industry. Focusing on R&D, product development, manufacturing, and sales of elevator motors ranging from 2 hp to 50 hp, heavy-duty vehicle brake components, cables, and cast products for various industries, our company continues its efforts with nearly 500 employees to maintain its leading position in the sector.
At the beginning of 2014, our company started manufacturing brake drums, discs, and hubs for the heavy-duty vehicle segment of the automotive industry under the FRENBU brand. With the slogan “Technology Turns into Trust at Akış,” our company has proudly taken the quality products it offers to the domestic market to the international arena and has accelerated its market research and investments accordingly. As a result of these investments, the company has reached an annual production capacity of more than 1,000,000 brake drums, discs, and hubs.
Our factories have two different casting lines. The first facility has an annual casting capacity of 40,000 tons. The molding boxes on the casting line at this facility measure 800 × 1,000 × 600 mm, while the automatic HWS-Sinto molding line has a capacity of 120 molding boxes per hour. Our three induction furnaces, each with a capacity of 6 tons, provide a molten metal capacity of 12 tons per hour. In addition, a 4-ton-capacity automatic pouring furnace is used at this facility to achieve higher-quality cast products. This system enables continuous temperature control and automatic inoculation.
Our second facility, established after acquiring Mercedes’ casting facilities in Stuttgart, Germany, has an annual production capacity of 80,000 tons. Our six 8-ton induction furnaces have a melting capacity of 30 tons of metal per hour, enabling the facility to reach a daily casting capacity of 600 tons.
In addition, our in-house pattern shop is equipped with 6 machine tools dedicated exclusively to pattern machining.
Our state-of-the-art machinery park includes CNC horizontal machining centers, CNC vertical machining centers, and horizontal and vertical CNC lathes. With more than 150 CNC machining centers in our machinery park and extensive experience in machining, we serve our domestic and international customers as a solution partner.
